Art Deco in Shades of Green - Rosalind Fitz Patrick
$950
Fused or kiln formed glass art is a recent development in the world of glass art. Basically it is a technique of stacking compatible glass to make patterns and designs. This glass comes in the form of sheet glass, frits, powders and stringers. The stack is then heated in a kiln to fuse (melt) together to form the desired result. The technicalities are precise and dependant on the physics of heating and cooling. Once the piece has cooled, it can be cut in a variety of ways, stacked again and refused. This process will take time and precision, using a variety of tools to achieve the result.
